| Acting somewhat as a buffer between Lowland Scotland
and the Highlands, the old county of Perthshire still revolves around
Perth – a busy town, which serves a mostly rural hinterland.
Crieff, Dunkeld and Aberfeldy are other towns which flourish with
one foot in the Highlands, without the remoteness of towns further
north. In terms of golf, Perthshire may not boast any links courses
but it does have Gleneagles!
