Located just north of the Kingdom of Fife, south
of Aberdeenshire and to the east of Perthshire, Angus is separated
from Fife by a body of water known as the Firth of Tay. Famed for

Barrie's Birthplace, Kirriemuir, Angus
The birthplace of J.M. Barrie, the creator Peter Pan, the adjacent
house contains an exhibition about Barrie's literary and theatrical
works entitled "The Genius of J.M. Barrie". The garden
has been redeveloped to include a living-willow crocodile and Peter

Rebuilt in 1814 after a fire, the original machinery in this 19th-century
mill has been restored and visitors can see it turning once more.
Milling demonstrations normally take place on Sunday afternoons,
while a range of displays highlight the important place the mill

Set in a 15th Century coastal fort, this museum of local history
and wildlife specialises in the history of whaling and includes

This heritage steam railway runs four miles from a unique Victorian
terminus station at Brechin to the remote Bridge of Dun. Visitors

Follow in the footsteps of Captain Scott and Ernest Shackleton
and experience one of the greatest stories ever told. In 1901 Captain
Scott set sail and spent two long winters frozen into the Antarctic
ice. Discovery returned home in 1904 to a hero's welcome and a
place
in maritime history. The exhibitions are a mix of audiovisual and
multimedia, alongside displays of actual artefacts that belonged
