ACCOMMODATION REVIEW
The Howard HotelKnown as the most discreet five-star hotel in Edinburgh, The Howard is a sister hotel of the Bonham and similarly, comprises a number of old townhouses. A gem among small hotels, The Howard is renowned for its attention to detail and level of personal service and you will invariably feel more like a guest in a private residence than a hotel. Registration is so discreet that you will hardly notice it and on arrival, you will be taken directly to your room, each of which is known by an old Edinburgh Street name, where you can begin to enjoy your stay.

From the moment you arrive, a dedicated butler will tend to your every need - from unpacking your bags and serving afternoon tea in the Drawing Room to co-ordinating your social itinerary and serving a three-course dinner in your suite so that you can totally relax. Dining at the Atholl Restaurant is an experience full of decadent pleasures and you will certainly enjoy your meal here. Guests also have the option of dining in their own room and your choice from the a la carte menu will be served to you by your dedicated butler.

Comprising three terraced townhouses dating from the 1820's, The Howard is an oasis of gracious calm and its interior and service, far from being old fashioned, are nevertheless reminiscent of a bygone age. Each of the 18 guestrooms are individually decorated and beautifully decked out with paintings and antique furniture. And while all rooms are equipped with the modern conveniences expected from such a top class hotel, for an even more luxurious experience, guests may choose one of the three exclusive suites, which boast their own terraced gardens and private entrance.

ONLINE GOLF TRAVEL RATING
If you are looking for a luxurious retreat within striking distance of the attractions of Edinburgh, then The Howard Hotel is ideal. Though it does not offer any leisure facilities, it is an excellent base from which to play the likes of Gullane and North Berwick.
