Online Golf Travel is the sister company of
specialist golf tour operator, Carr Golf & Corporate Travel, which has been offering
tailor made golfing vacations since 1990. Founded by the late legendary
Irish amateur golfer Joe Carr and run by his son, Marty Carr, Carr
Golf is based in Dublin, Ireland and is an established leading player
in the specialist golf travel industry in Ireland and the United
Kingdom.
Due to the ever-increasing trend of global Internet usage and indeed
golf travel in general, Online Golf Travel was formed as a separate
business entity in November 2000. A traditional “bricks and
mortar” specialist golf tour operator, Online Golf Travel has
benefited from the years of Carr Golf knowledge and experience and
presently offers competitively priced tailor made golfing trips to
Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales – some of the world’s
finest golfing destinations.
With business coming predominantly through the Internet, from repeat
clients and customer referrals, and given the associated lesser overhead
costs, Online Golf Travel is in the unique position of being able
to offer exceptionally priced golfing vacations combined with a level
of personal service, knowledge and attention to detail which is unrivalled
in the industry. Though we currently offer golfing vacations in Ireland,
Scotland, England, Wales & Spain, Online Golf Travel is constantly
expanding their range of destinations through a carefully selected
network of supplier relationships in each major golfing destination.
Vacations to destinations such as South Africa, France and Argentina
will soon be available.
Development of our destination specific websites has been on a phased
basis – Ireland
(www.golftravelireland.net) was
launched in 2001, England & Wales (www.golftravelengland.com)
in 2002 and Scotland (www.golftravelscotland.com)
in 2004. Our focus has always been on developing the most comprehensive golf-specific
resource possible on each country and we feel we have achieved this. Future sites
will include golftravelspain.com, golftravelsouthafrica.com and golftravelusa.com,
to name but a few, while all
sites will be accessible through www.onlinegolftravel.com.
Rest assured that our overriding aim and promise is to continue to do what we
have been doing for the past decade, through our association with Carr Golf – and
